Festival of Trees - 11/28/2008 Special Christmas trees decorated by area professionals and groups will be on display. Champagne reception December 13th, 7:00 - 9:00pm. Donations at the door. Holiday Celebration - 11/28/2008 The Historic Apalachicola Annual Christmas Celebration will light up Apalachicola from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, the streets of downtown Apalachicola will be lined with luminaries and filled with holiday spirit. Merchants will be open late and the sounds of carolers will echo through the streets filling the evening with Christmas spirit. Santa will arrive on a shrimp boat at 4:30 p.m. at the City Dock on Water Street, across from City Hall. Yule Lighting - 11/30/2008 Yule Lighting and Caroling. Santa visits with the children downtown from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Caroling and the lighting of the Yule Log at dusk. Tree of Remembrance - 11/30/2008 A non-denominational ceremony at 3:00 pm at the City Christmas Tree, Water Street and Avenue E, to remember those no longer with us. Community Christmas Program - 12/14/2008 The Isle Newell Concert Series presents a selection of holiday favorites. Historic Trinity Episcopal Church. 4:00 pm. The annual lighting of the holiday lights on St George Island. Santa will arrive on a fire engine for the kids. Refreshments available. The lighting will take place at the center of the island.
